Проблемка с CSS...

Господа, помогите решить проблему.
Есть код:

a {
border-bottom: 1px solid;
color: #606B32;
text-decoration: none;
}

a:hover, a:active, a:focus {
border-bottom: 1px solid;
color: #333333;
background: #FAF5D7;
text-decoration: none;
}

Заминка вся в том, что под изображениями-ссылками, тоже появилась фоновая заливка и подчеркивание.
Я попробывал так:

a img {
border: none; 
 * text-decoration: underline;
 * background: none;
}
a:link img, a:hover img, a:active img, a:focus img {
 * border: none; 
 * text-decoration: underline;
 * background: none;
}

Но, ниче не получилось...

Что -то не понял, а где логика? Сначала задаешь нижнюю границу, потом прописываешь text-decoration: none; - а для?
Не проще просто - text-decoration: underline;?
